Bacteria are small microorganisms. They are both harmful and beneficial to other animals. They occur in different shapes namely rod shaped bacilli, spherical shaped cocci, spiral shaped spirilla and sometimes square or even filamentous. They are found as aggregates which includes diplococci, streptococci, which is a chain like aggregate, staphylococci that occurs in clusters and sarcinae which occurs as cubes. Bacteria are of two types depending on their virulence namely the gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
